This growing family’s wish was to redesign the narrow dysfunctional kitchen and dining room while allowing for an open site line to the back of the house. Removing a wall and header created an open-concept kitchen with an informal dinette area. Painted cabinets in Indigo contrast the white Cambria countertops, and the Champagne Bronze accessories add sparkle. A timeless subway tile backsplash enhances the classic style of the home. The large island with orb-shaped light fixtures is a focal point in the room and provides ample storage and seating for family and friends. The final layout and structural changes transformed created an ideal space for casual entertaining.
