Design Tech Remodeling is Giving Back to the Community

MEQUON REMODELING COMPANY DONATING TO LOCAL AREA FOOD PANTRIES

MEQUON, WI — MAY 6, 2020 — Design Tech Remodeling in Mequon is pledging to help local citizens and those affected by the COVID 19 pandemic. For every job sold by the Mequon remodeler between May 1st, 2020 and December 31st, 2020, $250 or $500 will go to the Hunger Task Force or Family Sharing of Ozaukee County. Homeowners planning an interior remodel can find more details at www.designtechremodeling.com.

According to representatives at Hunger Task Force, the month of March showed an alarming 60% increase in demand for emergency food. As a way to support local citizens in need, including those affected by the COVID 19 pandemic, Design Tech Remodeling, a residential interior remodeling firm in Mequon, WI, implemented a “Build a Pantry – Fill a Pantry” fundraising campaign. With the sale of each project between May 1st and December 31st of this year, $250 or $500 will be donated to a local food pantry. Masha Wagner, Owner and Designer for Design Tech Remodeling is proud and thankful for having served the Greater Milwaukee Area for over 23 years. “During these days of such hardship and need, we look forward to giving back to the community with our Build A Pantry – Fill A Pantry fundraising campaign. We are hopeful that our contributions will help our neighbors in need.”

Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s only free and local food bank, which means that the organization never charges for food or deliveries and that all donations stay local within the community. Hunger Task Force serves an emergency food pantry network of 75 organizations, including food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters, providing food to nearly 50,000 individuals each month. “At Hunger Task Force, we love to see the community getting creative when it comes to giving back, and Design Tech Remodeling’s campaign does just that,” said Sherrie Tussler, Executive Director of Hunger Task Force. “The proceeds from this program will help feed hungry families throughout Milwaukee and provide support for those hit especially hard by the pandemic.”

Family Sharing provides Ozaukee County residents access to pantry staples, baby food, frozen meats, dairy items, fruits and vegetables. “We are so grateful, humbled and in awe of our community’s willingness to give,” said Kimberly Bikulcius, Community Outreach Manager for Family Sharing. “Businesses such as Design Tech Remodeling can make a huge impact when they partner with Family Sharing. With so many families struggling at this time, we are working hard to serve those in need. Family Sharing is here, willing to help and ready to alleviate hunger in Ozaukee county with dignity and compassion.”
